Can't talk

All weekend my ear hurt and by Sunday my throat was hurting. So Monday morning I deciding that I probably needed to go to the doctor. Well I am glad that I went on and made that appointment. The doctor said that my throat was red and my ears were dull. So he put me on a antibiotic and allergy medicine. I could talk when I went to the doctor. Well by the time I got home my voice was going. By the time I went to bed my voice was gone. This morning my throat is still sore and my voice is not good at all. I started taking the medicine last night so I hope that my throat and voice gets better. Well got to get busy. I have a busy day today. I hope everybody has a good day today. Love everybody!

Went to Ooltewah to see a precious little boy and his family

We went this weekend, Brenda, Daddy, Josh , Caleb and I, to Tennessee to see little Alex, Michelle and Todd's little boy, be dedicated. He was so so precious. He loved his cousin Caleb! His great-granddaddy told him the story of the Little old lady who ate the fly. It was so funny! Alex was totally paying attention to him though. We got to hear Jennifer's voice Sunday morning as they had the webcam on the computer at the church so that she could watch the dedication. Alex was a perfect little one during his dedication. We all went out to eat at Cracker Barrel afterward with Todd's family. We had 14 people I think. We visited Saturday and Sunday with Vicky, Mike, Todd, Michelle and Alex. Saturday night a friend of Michelle's and second daughter and neice to the rest of us, Whitney, came over to see all of us and ate supper with us. We had so much fun at supper that night! Between Mike and Todd they kept us entertained! I love going to my sister Vicky's house!!! I always feel so at home and have so much fun!!! We came home late Sunday afternoon. We had a good trip home.

Bible Study and seeing a precious baby

Hi everybody! It is late but I decided that I'd write what we did on our last week day of winter break. I went to my Beth Moore bible study this morning. We are studying Ester this time and it is just incredable!!! I have already learned so much and we are only in our 3rd week. We meet every Friday morning at Royston baptist. After I got through with Bible study Josh, Caleb, Daddy and I went to see precious little Anna Beth. She is just so cute!!! She was eating when we got there and after that Jeanan let me hold her. She looked all over the place and finally went to sleep. She is just so good. She never even cried or whimpered. We had a very good visit with Jeanan and little Anna Beth.
After that Brenda went out to eat a late lunch with us at Cracker Barrel. After that we came home and I straightened up around here. Kevin and I went down to his daddy's house to look for some pictures of Kirby when he was little. Kay is having a surprise 50th birthday party for Kirby next Friday night. Someone else I know is going to be having her 50th birthday coming up real soon! hehe Well it is getting late and I need to go to bed so that we can get up in the morning to go to see some people in TN. Love everybody!

Day with Brenda and Lost Art club

You are possibly asking what is a Lost Art club. Well it is a group of ladies that has been getting together for 32 years once a month to tell stories, make things, travel, eat, go to antique stores and little shops, and to each other's houses. Brenda belongs to this club and ask me to go with them as they went to the Blue Willow restaurant in Social Circle, Ga. This was my first time going to this nice restaurant that I have been hearing about for several years. It was a very good meal that we had. I had fried catfish, sweet potato souffle, carrots, vegetable soup, a big fluffy biscuit with pecans and cheese in it and homemade macaroni and cheese. For dessert I only got a small Brownie. It was a very nice lunch and time spent with other ladies. We went to some of the antique shops there in Social Circle after we got through.
We got home just in time for me to change clothes and get Kevin and the boys. Then we picked up daddy and went to church. The class that Kevin, Daddy and I go to on Wednesday nights is on Revelations. It has been soooo good. Danny Fuller teaches it and does a excited job!!! Well that is all I know for now. I am so very very sleepy so I am going to retire to my bed. Love everybody!!!

Pictures of my flowers

This is the flowers that I carried Sunday night when we renewed our vows.

These are the beautiful flowers that my precious little son, Caleb went and picked and put in a bottle of water for his mommy on Valentine's Day.
He brought them in and told me that he went out in the yard and found them especially for me!

Renewing our Vows

Sorry everybody that I haven't updated my blog in awhile. Nothing really exciting has been happening. Until this weekend that is.
Our church has been doing a 3 week series on marriage and it ended this past weekend. On Sunday morning they showed the movie Fireproof . We didn't have Sunday School or a church service that morning just all of us watching the movie. We had seen it at the movie theatre; but it was just as impacting seeing it the second time! If any of you have not seen it I highly recommend all of you to get it and watch it!!!
That night 39 couples came together in front of the church to renew our vows! It was so pretty and special!!! We all dressed up in dresses and suits. A local florist offered to do small bouquets for the brides. They separated the men and women then put us in ABC order as couples. The men went to the center row in the church one at a time and met their wives and the couple was introduced. Then we walked down to the front of the church. Chris, our pastor, lead us in a very special ceremony where we repeated vows to each other and then exchanged rings all the couples at the same time. I got a new ring enhancer to go with my engagement ring!
After we got through my very sweet and special husband took me to eat in Athens at Logan's. The boys went to Brenda's house that afternoon so that they could go to Joey's birthday party. They spent the night with Brenda and Larry that night. So we got to have some special couple time by ourselves which we have not had in a long time. It was a perfect Valentine's weekend!!!

Teasure Hunt and Retreat

Hi everybody,
I hope that everybody had a good weekend. Ours was busy, interesting and very good! I went to a ladies retreat at Lake Russell State Park in Elberton, Ga. with our church, Kevin and Caleb had company with his cousin and his girlfriend coming from North Carolina, and Josh went to Aunt Brenda's for the weekend. I knew sense the beginning of December that I was going to go on the Ladies Retreat. It was supposed to be at Bear Mountain Resort in Helen, Ga. in the mountains. Well on Tuesday of last week the people from the resort called Denise, our pastor's wife & events coordinator, to tell her that they were not longer in business. Three days before our retreat! They had gone bankrupt. So Denise and other staff members got on the phone calling everybody. Lake Russell said that they could accommodate all of us so that is where we went. They were 80 women from our church that went. It was a God thing that we ended up at Lake Russell! God showed up big time! We had a wonderful time and the weather was great! I went with a good friend of mine, Jana White, that has stage 4 breast cancer. You would never know looking at her that she is that sick. We are praying for her that God will choose to heal her. She is so special! We had a really good time.
Like I said Kevin's cousin and his girlfriend came down from North Carolina. He wanted to come and bring his medal detector to look around the farm. I think he thought he was going to find the family treasure. They got here at 9:30am Friday morning and started to look for a treasure. They searched all day that day and then all day Saturday. All they found was a dime, quarter and half dollar!
I had to change the sheets on our bed so that they, yes I said they, could sleep in our room. Kevin had to sleep in Josh's room. Frank, Kevin's cousin, is around 62 yrs. old and his girlfriend looked like she was this little dried up older lady. Possibly in her 70's. I guess she was in her 60's though. Kevin said she was very picky with her eating. I ate lunch with them before leaving to go to the retreat. We ate at Bar H BBQ in Royston. She ordered a BBQ plate and when it came she sent it back because it had stew and slaw on it. I am not sure why she didn't know that it came with that. They ate out while they were here because I was going to be here. I think that Kevin had a very interesting weekend.
Well I hope everybody has a good week. Love to everybody!
